<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB">Outi Turpeinen (b. 1971) is a visual artist and designer who has had exhibitions both in Finland and abroad since 1990. She works mainly with spatial installations, where themes often concentrate on museum problematics and our past. Turpeinen completed her Masters of Arts degree in 1998 and defended her Doctor of Arts thesis in 2005 at the University of Art and Design Helsinki/Aalto University. She is a popular lecturer and multifaceted cultural producer who also does design for restaurants, theatres and museums. The Finnish State and Vantaa City, for example, have her works in their public collections. She has received grants from several funds and currently teaches in Aalto University, Helsinki Finland and Linnaeus University, Kalmar Sweden.</span></p>
